Officine Paneraiwatches are a marvelous blend of Italian Design, Swiss watchmaking technology and a passion for the sea

The Panerai story started in 1860 in Florence when Giovanni Panerai opened a tiny watch shop on the Ponte alle Grazie spanning the Arno River., selling Swiss pocket watches

The Panerai factory in its early days, partnered with Rolex for movements and for the technology to create waterproof cases. They also pioneered the use of Radiomir to allow the watch hands to glow in dark conditions. This led them to become suppliers to the Italian Navy. Panerai's movements today are as good as any produced in Switzerland and their technology is used by many Swiss movement manufacturers.

Panerai watches today represent an iconic design idea that has survived for many decades and has grown far beyond what the original Panerai family started in 1860
